For the 70th Anniversary of UNESCO, Roche Bobois has decorated the Delegates Lounge at the organisation’s headquarters
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO, Roche Bobois was selected to participate in the first major renovation of the International Organization’s building. Roche Bobois converted the whole of Delegates Lounge, adjacent to the Hall of the Executive Council, with furniture designed by Cédric Ragot, Sacha Lakic and Daniel Rode.
In his address to the Assembly of UNESCO, at the opening of the Delegates Lounge, Gilles Bonan, CEO of Roche Bobois said, "Roche Bobois fully subscribes to the values of humanism that UNESCO has withheld for 70 years. We strive, on our scale, to build connections and trade between nations. Beyond the furniture that we distribute around the world, we also convey a vision of the "French art de vivre"; we favor the expression and the creativity of designers from different backgrounds and cultures, and we put great importance on know-how that we strive to maintain. "
Throughout this initiative, which comes after the support of the French Pavilion at the World Expo in Milan and the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, Roche Bobois reaffirms its commitment to highly cultural projects.
