The 2024 collection, along with the range extension of Tobi-Ishi table by Barber Osgerby and Gio seating system by Antonio Citterio, was portrayed and filmed at the suggestive Solo House in Matarraña, Spain.
Softcage, design Mario Bellini
B&B Italia revisits the past with the new Softcage outdoor collection, which is inspired by a 1975 project by Mario Bellini, whose avant-garde vision opened new horizons in the use of rattan as a valuable material for furnishings, combining bold shapes and a timeless elegance. Today this iconic concept is reinterpreted through B&B Italia’s lens of innovation to give life to a collection that preserves the magic of hand-crafted rattan and blends it with contemporary aesthetics. This new interpretation offers an unparalleled experience of comfort and style for outdoor spaces thanks to a highly sophisticated cage structure composed of 45 mm sections and 18 mm rods. The load-bearing structure boasts gentler and more ergonomic shapes thanks to the base under the seat and the backrest, both inclined and suspended. The new collection consists of a sofa in two sizes and an armchair, all with a rattan structure offered in different colours: black, red and grey. The range of
colors and fabrics allows you to personalize outdoor spaces with a touch of elegance and functionality.
La Bambola Outdoor, design Mario Bellini
The Bambola armchair, part of the iconic Le Bambole collection designed by Mario Bellini in 1972 and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1979, is offered in a new outdoor version maintaining the same soft curves and welcoming shapes that made the original design a classic. The use recycled and recyclable, weather-resistant and high-performance materials ensures that La Bambola Outdoor stands out for its beauty, durability and sustainability, transforming outdoor spaces into refuges of comfort and style.
Tesa O', design Monica Armani
Tesa O’ is a shading element conceived as a style statement and a versatile solution for outdoor spaces, an object that combines aesthetics and functionality in an exemplary manner. The lenticular shape is embellished with an organic straw effect made of high-quality plastic material. The 110 cm size of the sunshade and the aluminium pole with a 360-degree swivel joint, which allows it to be oriented as one pleases, offer protection from the sun’s rays any time of day. The concrete base guarantees stability and safety, even in windy conditions.
Button Tables Outdoor, design Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby
The Button Tables collection of indoor coffee tables, which leverages the combination of different materials and details that create imperceptible movements in the shapes, is proposed in an outdoor version with tops in white Carrara marble that rest on bases in rigid polyurethane painted in five colours: clay, dove grey, white, anthracite and sage.
