THE 'BZ' mechanism makes this bedsettee
extremely easy to operate.
Technical Specifications
CONSTRUCTION
Tubular steel frame on seat;
suspension via criss-cross webbing.
Multi-ply slats on two sections of
back.
COMFORT
Generous sleep area 160 x 195cm. A
Ready-to-Sleep envelope sheet in
100% cotton, size 155 x 195cm, may
be used if desired. Mattress in 11cm
thick special bed-quality high
resilience polyurethane Bultex foam
(36kg/m3 - 2.8 kPa) with ecrucoloured
hemmed, quilted ticking
(100% polyester); an alternative
version in polyether foam (28kg/m3 -
3.0 kPa) is also offered, with an ecrucoloured
ticking (51% polyester/49%
cotton) which may be zipped off and
washed at 30°. Both types of ticking
are treated with HealthGuard
(antibacterial & fungicidal). Mattresses
fold in two places so as to offer a
perfectly flat sleep surface. The
quilted cover is attached to the frame
via a zip at the foot, and by velcro on
the sides. For aesthetic reasons,
those who do not intend to use the
bed every day can zip the cover to
the mattress at each of the two folds
(NB these zips are unnoticeable while
the settee is being used as a bed).
Quilted cover may be removed for dry
cleaning; only the small band which is
attached to the mechanism at the
foot end may not be removed for
cleaning. The cover has
accommodates two little pieces of
foam at each side of the seat, which
b o t h improve its appearance and
stop it bowing outwards: these are
not at all noticeable to a sleeper, and
can easily be removed prior to dry
cleaning. Also available: pair of 55 x
55cm pillows.
MAKING-UP
This model is designed to be made in
two colours: one on the internal edge
