Tarmac is a simple, innovative and
easy-to-read modular programme,
principally characterized by
cupboards, shelving units and chests
of drawers (all of which are delivered
fully assembled), set on a base which
forms a 'roadway' (Tarmac). This
concept makes it possible for a piece
to retain all its flexibility over time, with
the freedom to rework it if desired, or
to move it to a new location.
These highly optimized storage
spaces, when positioned side by
side, offer just as much storage
space as traditional pieces of
furniture (sides/shelves/sides), in
easily movable modules.
In juxtaposing elements, pieces of
furniture with closed fronts
(wardrobes) may be created, or
combinations of various elements
arranged in an unstructured, airy
fashion.
Items do not necessarily need to be
perfectly preconceived as it is
possible to create improvised storage
zones. Open chests and lateral
hanging rails make it possible to
make active use of the sides of
chests. The user can bring together
individual functions and adapt them
to a particular room.
The Tarmac range is available in two
depths: D 580 for the bedroom and D
450 for the living room.
For the bedroom, the principle of the
'through hanging rail' is particularly
attractive: it passes through a metal
eyelet, the design of which is echoed
by the handles
